Year 4 enjoy orienteering and sculpture at Wandlebury

Year 4 had a great day out at Wandlebury Country Park on 25th March developing their orienteering skills and creating environmental art sculptures to make a point about looking after the environment.  The children were very enthusiastic, a sample of their comments reflect their day:

"I especially enjoyed orienteering because you got to run around and explore Wandlebury."

"I enjoyed making the sculptures out of things we found around us.  In our group we made an animal hotel.  We made three compartments, one for a hedgehog, one for a rabbit and one for lots of insects."

"Although the weather was chilly, I really didn’t notice the cold because I was learning so much about using co-ordinates and map reading."
