It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our website. Governors, staff, pupils and parents have worked together to collate the information presented here and we hope that you will find it helpful. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need more information about any aspect of our school’s provision.
We aim to help your child feel happy and confident in school and welcome your involvement throughout your child's primary years. We recognise that it is only by working together that we can best meet your child's needs. Quite naturally your children will primarily be concerned with settling into their classes, and their class teachers will be very important to them. However, we also want the children to feel part of a school 'family' with each individual caring about the others. The junior children are encouraged to get to know the infant children through the 'paired class' system and we give time to encouraging the 'pairs' to read and talk to each other. Our daily assemblies are also a very important part of our community life together.
Our school is a lively, active place so it is impossible to condense all that happens onto a website, but we hope that it will give you a flavour of all that goes on. Regular school letters are sent home via the children to keep you informed and to indicate how you can be involved in supporting your child. These are numbered so you can check you have received a full set!
I look forward to welcoming you to this school and to working with you for the good of your child.
